Dental Technology

At our dental clinic at The West Mall and Bloor, our dentists use current dental technologies during your procedures.
Technology for Your Comfort & Convenience
At West Mall Dental Group, our dental technology helps us provide our patients with efficient, quality dental care. We use a variety of current technologies to make your dental appointments more pleasant.
CEREC Restorations
CEREC is a system used to design and manufacture high quality restorations, often in a single dental appointment.
CEREC uses computer aided design and manufacturing technology to take highly detailed dental impressions quickly, and then generate a precise dental restoration (such as a dental crown, inlay or onlay).
Laser Therapy
In dentistry, lasers (extremely focused light beams) can be used in a variety of soft and hard tissue procedures.
Dentists can use lasers to remove overgrown or decayed tissue, to reshape the gums, or to whiten teeth. Laser therapy can be very helpful for children and adult patients who feel anxious when having dental work done, because it is a minimally invasive treatment option.
Dental X-Rays
Dental x-rays are an important part of your ongoing preventive dental plan.
X-rays allow your dentist and hygienist to examine the parts of your teeth and jaw that are not visible to the naked eye. This makes it much easier to identify developing problems in these areas, and treat them before they become serious.
Digital X-Rays
Digital x-rays use digital sensors instead of traditional photographic x-ray film. They produce highly detailed computer images of the teeth and gums, as well as other oral structures and conditions.
Panoramic X-Rays
Panoramic x-rays allow your dentist to create a single image of your entire mouth. This image is a flat representation of the teeth, upper and lower jaws, temporomandibular joints (TMJ), and the nasal and sinus structures.
